The recent outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has led to a surge in research to understand various aspects of this disease as they relate to host-pathogen biology as well as therapy and vaccine development. This webinar will highlight a variety of tools and assays developed for cytometry in the context of viral infection and host response by high throughput screening using a microplate reader platform.

Application data using solution-based assays for measurements of infection, cell proliferation and toxicity will be presented. Furthermore, we will touch on liquid handling and automated workflows, from running the assay to data analysis. Although coronavirus research is a quickly evolving area, an explanation of assay mechanisms and data provided during this webinar, will facilitate a better understanding of available options for the interrogation of cells in context of viral infection and host response.
