Whole blood, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
Whole blood is used for researching the causes, diagnosis, supportive care and treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease that affects all major organ systems as well as the skin and joints. Current treatments include immunosuppression; however stem cell and immunotherapies are under development. Collected from IRB-consented donors diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

No pre-screening is done on fresh products, but donors are tested on day of collection for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV 1/2, HTLV-I/II, HIV-1/HCV/HBV nucleic acid, WNV nucleic acid, Trypanasoma cruzi and Syphilis.

Storage: Use immediately upon receipt.

Attention: Intended for research use only and not for direct therapeutic or diagnostic use in human or animals, or for further manufacturing of therapeutic products or devices.
